Fall is just around the corner, and you know what that means? Apple everything!! Apple season is one of my favourite times of the year, it is so nice to drive by farms and see beautiful apple trees ready to be picked. One of my favourite apple recipe is the simple apple crisp. This is a great way to use up apples that are not too sweet. This recipe is so easy and delicious, I bet you are going to bookmark this and make it year after year. Fall Simple Apple Crisp
Ingredients
- 2 Granny smith apples
- 1 tablespoon All Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Melted Butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Roughly dice apples into a bowl and add 1 TBSP flour, white sugar and cinnamon. Mix to combine and set aside
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter in the microwave
- In the bowl with the butter, add, oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and brown sugar and mix to combine
- In you loaf pan or square pan, pour apple mixture on the bottom.
- Top with oat mixture
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the top turn slightly golden brown.
