It is that time of the year again, time to shop for those holiday gifts. I put together a guide for some of my favourite foodie gifts. Let’s get started!
First up, my favourite cutting board, the John Boos Reversible End Grain Maple Chopping Block, 20 by 15 by 2.25-Inch!Yes, the price is steep ($315!) but honestly you will never have to buy another cutting board again. The reason why this cutting board is so expensive is because it is made with end grain maple wood. By using end grain wood, the cutting board will last a lifetime since it has lots more crevices to cut into while you chop and dice away. Make sure you maintain your wood cutting board so it will stay beautiful and function. Check out my video on caring for your cutting boards here.
Next is my favourite blender, the Ninja NJ600WMC Professional Blender, Black Silver! I did a full post on this amazing blender because I love it so much. Check it out here!
Next, I love using the Granite Mortar and Pestle by HiCoup – Natural Unpolished, Non Porous, Dishwasher Safe Mortar and Pestle Set, 6 Inch Large. This one in particular because it is large, the sides are high so when you are pounding and mixing spices and ingredients, it doesn’t just fly all over the place. The granite is very strong and durable. Best of all, you can throw it into the dishwasher! This is a must buy, get one for yourself if you don’t have one!
If you are looking for the perfect gift for the baker in your life, look no further! I cannot live without my Classic Cuisine 18 Piece Silicone Bakeware Set, Fuchsia. I’ve used these silicone bakeware for years now and I cannot go back to regular pans! Silicone is easy to clean, and the consistency of your baked goods is unreal. Everything bakes evenly even if you are a novice baker.
A good vegetable peeler goes a long way! I cannot live without my OXO Good Grips Y Peeler. I love the simple and easy to use design. I peel everything from apples to squash with this bad boy! And it is super affordable too!
If someone gave me a Lodge Cast-Iron Skillet L10SK3ASHH41B, 12-Inch I would be very happy (hint hint wink wink!)! Cast iron pans have been around for many years and there is a good reason why. They are durable and like the wooden cutting board, lasts forever if you maintain and take care of it well! You can cook everything from a chicken skillet to a dutch baby in this beautiful cast iron skillet! They come in many different sizes, so go and get one of each!
Who doesn’t love fresh pasta? It is actually super easy to make if you have this Strauss Stainless Steel Pasta Maker. Ever since getting my pasta machine, the pasta game has changed in my house. Eating the dry stuff from the store is just not the same anymore. Fresh pasta has a way better taste and texture! This pasta machine is very easy to use and you can disassemble to clean all the parts easily!
Okay, so this next one you don’t NEED, but how fun and cute are these? Men’s Women’s Tube Socks Foodie Mixed Donuts Donut Casual Socks! They are advertised as “casual” socks – whatever that means! haha!
So there you have it, a few of my favourite foodie gifts! I hope I made your shopping that much easier this year! No need to hit the busy malls. Just shop in your PJs with a glass of wine!
