Believe it of not, the holiday season is just around the corner and for most of us, this means lots of cooking and baking in the kitchen. This time of the year, I love to create very easy recipes that still taste great but will save you a ton of time in the kitchen! You can thank me later!

I love eating fudge and making it is actually super easy. I also love the fact that you can create so many different flavour varities for your fudge so you really cannot get bored of this tasty treat!

Is Fudge Gluten Free ?

Depending on what ingredients you are using, you can definitely make gluten free fudge! The two main ingredients are chocolate chips and condensed milk. Most chocolate chips are gluten free and condensed milk is too! If you are planning to add any other ingredients to it, it will likely be gluten free too (nuts, sprinkles, etc)

Can you Freeze Fudge?

If you are making sweets ahead of time for a future party, fudge is perfect stored in the freezer. Put the cut pieces into an air tight container or zip top bag and you can freeze it for months! You can also store the fudge in the fridge if you are not planning to eat them right away.

Different Flavour Combinations

This recipe uses a delicious matcha green tea powder from Rishi tea but the flavour possibilities are endless when you are making fudge. You can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or even butterscotch chips! Other favourite toppings of mine include:

  • Dark chocolate and orange (just add a little orange oil)
  • Chocolate Hazelnut
  • Mocha (Chocolate chips and coffee powder)
  • Peppermint (white chocolate chips with crushed up peppermint candy canes)

Making fudge really lets you get your creative juices going. The possibilities are endless!

Why Rishi Teahouse Matcha?

If you have been following me for awhile now, you know my favourite tea company is Rishi Tea! Their matcha powder is simply the BEST on the market and no other brand compares! (Trust me, I have tried so many different types of matcha!) Matcha is essentially ground up high quality green tea leaves. You are consuming the whole tea leaf and you get tons of healthy benefits from it as well! I use their Teahouse Matcha for this recipe and you can read all about it here.
