Homemade Teriyaki Sauce
Easy and delicious homemade Teriyaki Sauce perfect as a sauce or marinade.

- 1/2 cup light soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 TBSP raw honey
- 3 TBSP mirin (or sake, rice wine vinegar)
- 1 inch ginger, peeled and grated
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and diced finely
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Cornstarch Slurry
- 2 TBSP cornstarch
- 2 TBSP water
Combine all ingredients into a small sauce pan and bring to a boil
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 3 minutes
Mix cornstarch and water into cornstarch slurry and add into sauce. Mix until combined. The cornstarch mixture will thicken up the sauce
Let cool and pour into an air tight container and store inside the refrigerator
