Easy Weekday Dinner Recipe – Panko Crusted Salmon Strips

Panko Crusted Salmon Strips

A lot of people are intimidated with cooking seafood. They are either scared of under cooking or over cooking it and it’s not cheap, so you don’t want to ruin it, right? Well if you are a beginner at cooking seafood, this salmon recipe is fail proof. Its healthy, delicious, fast and super tasty! I guarantee your family will love it!

Ingredients: 

  • 10 oz salmon fillet (sliced into 1 inch thick strips)
  • 1 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko breading
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil for pan frying

Directions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Preheat cast iron pan on medium, add oil to coat the pan once it is hot
  • In one small bowl, combine soy sauce and egg and mix well
  • In a separate bowl, combine panko, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper and mix well
  • Drench salmon strips into the soy sauce and egg mixture and make sure all sides are coated
  • Dip each salmon strips into the panko mixture and cover all sides
  • Pan fry salmon in cast iron (1 minute on each side or until golden brown)
  • Once the fish have cooked on both sides, transfer the cast iron pan into the oven and cook for 5 minutes or until the fish internal temperature is at 145 F
